Bio/Research

Professor in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Toronto Metropolitan University. My research aims to better understand the mechanisms of organelle function, especially in innate immune function. For example, we study how macrophages and dendritic cells engulf and dispose of microbes and how they adapt to immune stresses. My lab is experienced in using both cell lines and primary cells, mice as model systems, methods to investigate cellular signalling, imaging acquisition and analysis, and a variety of biochemical tools. Importantly, my lab has a strong track record of collaboration with academic and non-academic partners.
